Descrizione
e caratteristiche:
Inder Gebirgsart des neuern Muschelsandsteins von Wein heim aufliegend , mit sehr schön und vollständig erhaltener Schaale , nebst mehrern freyen Exemplaren. (9 Ex.)
Scheint zum Conus stromboides Lamarks zu gehören. Confer. Brocchi Conus striatulus. Conch. foss. subapp. T. III. f. 4.
Es sind mehrere theils gröfsere theils kleinere Exemplare vorhanden , von der Länge eines Zolls, bis zur Grösse eines Hirsenkorns , und bey denjüngern Exemplaren ist esbemerkenswerth, dafs die Spira nach Verhältnifs ungleich länger hervortritt (2).
Lying in the rock type of the newer shell sandstone of Weinheim, with a very beautiful and completely preserved shell, along with several free specimens. (9 specimens)
Seems to belong to the Conus stromboides Lamarks. Confer. Brocchi Conus striatulus. Conch. foss. subapp. T. III. f. 4.
There are several specimens, some larger and some smaller, from the length of an inch to the size of a millet grain, and in the younger specimens it is remarkable that the spire protrudes proportionally much longer (2).
