Remarks: The new Caloosahatchee C. susankhanae is most similar to the older, stratigraphically lower C. presozoni Olsson and Petit, 1964 (Plate 92, Figure A) from the Pine crest Beds, but differs in being a stockier, less elongated shell with a wider shoulder and spire, and in having larger, wider spiral sulci around the anterior tip. Conus susankhanae is the direct ancestor of the living and Bermont C. delessertii Reclus, 1843 (Plate 91, Figure N).
Etymology: Named for Ms. Susan Khan of New Port Richey, Florida.
