Conus (Lindaconus) jeremyi (Petuch, 1994)
Description: Shell small for sub-genus, broad, stocky, wide across shoulder, with low, stepped spire; shoulder angled but distinctly rounded; body whorl ornamented with very numerous, strong spiral cords; aperture narrow throughout; color pattern (when preserved) composed of 6-8 rows of large, rectangular patches.

Remarks: Conus jeremyi is most similar to, and is probably the ancestor of C. lemoni Petuch, 1990 (Plate 92, Figure L) from the strati-graphically-higher Bermont Fauna, but differs in being a much smaller, more slender and cylindrical shell with a higher, stepped spire.
Etymology: Named for Mr. Jeremy Shugar of Scarsdale, New York.
Viene considerato da Hendricks un sinonimo del Conus spurius (1).
