Conus (Conasprella) jaclynae (Petuch, 1994)
Description (2): Shell of average size for subgenus, elongated, straight-sided, with high, protracted, scalariform spire; shoulder sharply-angled, with thin, bladelike carina; body whorl smooth, with 12-13 widely-spaced, deeply-impressed spiral sulci around anterior one-half; aperture narrow.
Holotype: UF66437, Length 31 mm.
Type Locality: Pinecrest Beds Fauna (Kissimmee River Valley only), from Kissimmee River dredging at Fort Basinger, Highlands County.
Remarks: A comparison of Conus jaclynae with its closest relative, C. hyshugari n. sp. (Plate 94, Figure I) was given under the description of C. hyshugari. The new species appears to have been endemic to the Kissimmee Embayment.
Etymology: Named for Ms. Jaclyn Smith of Weston, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Per Hendricks è sinonimo del Conus jaspideus.
